Felicidades a Mindy Kaling, escritora, productora y actriz en la película "Late Night" por un trabajo bien hecho.
La película gira en torno a la presentadora de la noche Katherine Newbury interpretada por la gran Emma Thompson. Su personaje es una persona fría y dura cuyos dos enfoques principales en la vida son el programa de entrevistas y su esposo Walter Newbury, también interpretado por el gran John Lithgow.
La idea de escenas locas que ocurren detrás del escenario en 'Noises Off' es similar a lo que ocurre detrás de escenas en un programa de entrevistas. Me encanta cómo Mindy Kaling representa el personaje de Katherine Newbury y me ayuda a entender por qué o cómo una mujer en ese rol puede ser tan fría y dura.
Emma Thompson es extremadamente convincente en el papel y tiene algunos momentos conmovedores con la escritora Molly Patel (Mindy Kaling) y su esposo Walter (John Lithgow).
Los actores secundarios están bien escogidos y me gustó especialmente el papel de Reid Scott (Veep) como uno de los escritores monólogos del estudio. "Late Night" vale la pena verla! muy bien escrita y con un elenco estelar. 10/10 estrellas bien merecidas.

Movie Critic of Cine.com: Late Night

Congrats to Mindy Kaling, writer, producer, and actress in the film ‘Late Night’ for a job well done. The film revolves around a late night show host Katherine Newbury played by the great Emma Thompson.
Her character is a cold, hard person whose two main focuses in life are the talk show and her husband Walter Newbury played by also the great John Lithgow. Think ‘Noises Off’ meets ‘Devil Wears Prada’. I cannot help see the similarity between Emma Thompson as Katherine Newbury and Meryl Streep as Miranda Priestly.
The idea of crazy scenes that occur backstage in ‘Noises Off’ is similar to what takes place behind the scenes at a talk show. I love how Mindy Kaling depicts Katherine Newbury’s character and helps one understand why or how a woman in such a role could be so cold and hard. Emma Thompson is extremely convincing in the role and has some touching moments with writer Molly Patel (Mindy Kaling) and her husband Walter (John Lithgow).
The supporting actors are well cast and I especially liked Reid Scott’s (Veep) role as one of the studio’s monologue writers. ‘Late Night’ is a definite go see, stellar writing with a stellar cast, 9/10 stars well deserved.
