Nick Spitz, un policía de Nueva York (Adam Sandler) y Audrey Spitz, su esposa peluquera (Jennifer Aniston), están en un viaje a Europa por su 15 aniversario.
Son invitados al yate del multimillonario, Charles Cavendish, interpretado por el encantador actor galés, Luke Evans (Girl On The Train). La pareja pronto se enmarca en el asesinato de un anciano multimillonario.
Aunque Aniston y Sandler hacen una pareja divertida en la película, creo que Aniston con su ingenio y entrega natural supera a Sandler en muchas escenas.
Mientras veía la película, no pude evitar pensar en películas famosas del pasado. 'Date Night' se reúne en 'Out of Towners' y 'Murder On The Orient' se reúne en 'Quantum Solace'.
Hablando de Quantum, la actriz británica Gemma Arterton es elegida como la bella Grace Ballard.
Gemma agrega el toque europeo junto con el actor mexicano Luis Gerardo Méndez (Nosotros Los Nobles) como campeón de fórmula uno, el actor francés Dany Boon como inspector Delacroix y el hilarante actor británico Adeel Akhtar.
Como nota adicional, si desea ver la increíble versatilidad de actuación de Adeel, mírelo como Monsieur Thernardier, el tesoro, posadero de la serie PBS de Les Mis.
En general, los actores en 'Murder Mystery' son estelares, pero como Siskel y Ebert dijeron una vez, "recomendaría la película pero no a un alto nivel de elogio".

Netflix Film, ‘Murder Mystery’ director Kyle Newacheck and writer James Vanderbilt, think 15thwedding anniversary/European trip gone wrong.
Nick Spitz, a New York cop (Adam Sandler) and Audrey Spitz, his hairdresser wife (Jennifer Aniston), are on a European trip for their 15th. anniversary.
They are invited onto the billionaire’s yacht, Charles Cavendish, played by the charming Welsh actor, Luke Evans (Girl On The Train). The couple is soon framed for the murder of an elderly billionaire.
Although Aniston and Sandler make a hilarious couple in the film, I think Aniston with her natural wit and delivery outshines Sandler in many scenes.
While watching the film I couldn’t help think of famous past films. Think ‘Date Night’ meets ‘Out of Towners’ meets ‘Murder On The Orient’ meets ‘Quantum Solace’.
Speaking of Quantum, British actress Gemma Arterton is perfectly cast as the gorgeous Grace Ballard. Gemma adds that European flare along with Mexican actor Luis Gerardo Mendez (from the film Nosotros Los Nobles) as the champion formula one driver, French actor Dany Boon as Inspector Delacroix, and the hilarious British actor Adeel Akhtar.
On a side note here, if you would like to see Adeel’s amazing acting versatility, watch him as Monsieur Thernardier, the scavenger, innkeeper in the PBS series of Les Mis.
Overall the actors in ‘Murder Mystery’ are stellar but as Siskel and Ebert once said, “I would recommend the film but not at a high level of praise.”
