The Ex

The title could be short for the "ex"-cellent script and the "ex"-ceptional performances by Zach Braff and Jason Bateman. The former is a new employee at his father-in-law's company, the latter is his boss, who happens to have once dated Braff's wife (Amanda Peet) back in high school, and still carries a serious torch for her. Charles Grodin ended a 10-year movie hiatus to play Peet's father, and Mia Farrow plays his wife. Directed by Jesse Peretz. SNLers Amy Poehler and Fred Armisen costar.
