Sinopsis La familia Russo es como cualquier otra familia de Manhattan, aunque con una pequeña diferencia: descienden de una ancestral familia de magos. El padre procede de una ancestral familia con poderes mágicos, a los cuales renunció para casarse con su mujer. Sin embargo, sus tres hijos (Justin, Alex y Max) parecen haber heredado parte de esa magia. Eso sÃ: los tres jovencitos deberán aprender a controlar los poderes que acaban de descubrir si no quieren perderlos para siempre.
