Sinopsis La serie sigue a una adolescente soñadora de Texas, Jessie (Debby Ryan), que se traslada a Nueva York y comienza su vida fuera del medio rural. Ella consigue un trabajo como niñera para cuatro niños cuyos padres son millonarios. Jessie debe lidiar con los cuatro niños, uno de sus amigos imaginarios y una mascota de carpincho. A medida que navega por la vida en la gran ciudad, Jessie encuentra aliados en el mayordomo, Bertram, y el portero de 20 años, Tony. A partir de ahí, el personaje se encuentra en miles de situaciones divertidas.
